Specific Interests

Climate change and its impacts on species and ecosystem level

I am interested in impacts of climate change on butterflies, an indicator species. I want to study phenology of butterflies at different altitudinal ranges at Himalaya and predict future distribution ranges in the light of climate change. I hope yardstick developed from study of indicator species helps to estimate impacts of climate change at community and ecosystem level.

Habitat fragmentation and connectivity

I am also interested in habitat fragmentation and connectivity. I want to study how landscape/habitat has changed over the years and how it affects connectivity of different wildlife.
