OSU Research Symposium Presentation Awards go to Zoology Undergraduate and Graduate Students

jeyasinghlabwinnersRosa Yorks, a junior in the zoology department is investigating the impacts of thermal pollution on the population genetics of Daphnia (waterflea) in Sooner Lake. She presented a poster highlighting her results at the OSU Research Symposium, and won first place. Priyanka Roy Chowdhury, a doctoral student in the department, who is also the graduate mentor for Rosa's project, orally presented results from radiotracer experiments illuminating differential processing of key nutrients by various Daphnia genotypes and was also placed first in the Symposium. Both work in the Jeyasingh lab.
