National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship for zoology graduate student

Lynne_BeatyMs. Lynne Beaty, who will be a new OSU Department of Zoology graduate student in Fall 2012 and advised by Dr. Barney Luttbeg, has been selected to receive a 2012 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship. The NDSEG Fellowship is sponsored and funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) as a means of increasing the number of U.S. citizens and nationals trained in science and engineering. Of the over 3,000 applications received, only approximately 200 applications were selected for the fellowship that will provide 3 years of financial support (approximately $30,000/yr). Lynne Beaty will be investigating the game and spatial dynamics of frog tadpoles and their aquatic predators.
