Zoology Faculty Helps Bring $1.1 million to OSU to Train Math and Science Teachers

Kristen Baum (Zoology), in collaboration with Julie Angle (science education) and Alan Noell (mathematics), was a primary contributor to a grant that brought $1.1 million of scholarship money to Oklahoma State for students pursuing careers as math and science teachers. The grant, funded by NSF, will be used to recruit future secondary math and science teachers and support them with scholarship funds internship opportunities and professional development during their first years as teachers.
