Zoology Alum recognized by OSU

 

 

Dr. Edwin Chappabitty, a 1967 graduate of Zoology, was inducted into the Oklahoma State University's College of Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. Dr. Chappabitty spent 5 years in the Army where he received numerous awards for valor. He later pursued medical school, then returned to his hometown of Lawton, OK to practice medicine where he would eventually become the first medical director to the Comanche Nation. Dr. Chappabitty is a strong advocate for Native American students to pursue careers in health, as evidenced by his generous scholarship efforts established through OSU and the Department of Integrative Biology (formerly known as Zoology).
