I am interested in using conservation genetics as a tool to manage both captive and wild populations of wildlife. For my dissertation, I will be establishing a database of SNPs for Bald and Golden Eagles. I will utilize this information as well as the Bald and Golden Eagle genomes to conduct genetic research pertaining to the population bottlenecks caused by DDT and associated reintroduction efforts.
