Specific Interests
My research addresses the interaction between environmental heterogeneity and phenotypic evolution. Specifically, I explore the environment-induced mechanisms underlying phenotypic change by examining condition-dependent sexual traits in amphipod species in the genus Hyalella as my model system. I integrate field and lab experiments to develop links between variation in male traits and environmental parameters, as well as the mechanisms that underlie this variation.
