As an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma, I found an interest in fieldwork and neurobiology. As I have begun my current research in the Lovern lab, I have come to focus more on behavioral and physiological endocrinology. I am using two species of the Anolis genera, (Anolis carolinensis and Norops sagrei) for my research. I am specifically interested to learn about the role of steroid hormones in the sexual determination of these species and the subsequent sexually dimorphic behavior that arises. My other interests include the ecological effects of invasive species, maternal effects, and hybridization.
