Specific Interests

My research focuses on experimentally testing how indicator species, dragronfly from the family Anisoptera, respond to interactive effects of contaminants and abiotic environmental conditions (e.g., high vs. low temperature, and water and sediment levels) at Tar Creek, a superfund site in Oklahoma. I am highly interested in the role extreme weather events play in the movement of toxicants, and how organisms with complex life cycles move toxicants between aquatic and terrestrial environments.
