Specific Interests

I am interested in how organisms assess their environment, specifically in the context of predator-prey interactions. My current research explores how freshwater snails utilize danger and safety cues and how their perception of risk affects their behavior and physiology. As part of the physiological portion of my research, I am investigating how the snails’ respiration rate is impacted by chronic and acute exposure to different risk levels.
