Specific Interests
My research interests center on questions related to binaural hearing ability, physiology, anatomy, and behavior of small mammals, using wild rodents as model system. I am also interested in understanding the biology and ecology of aquatic and terrestrial organisms and work towards their preservation against climate change, pollution, invasive species, and habitats degradation. For my Ph.D. research, I am looking at binaural hearing ability of rodents across Oklahoma based on their social group. I intend to study the role of hormones (Vasopressin and oxytocin) in influencing hearing abilities of small mammals as well as investigating the effects of drought on small mammals’ behavior and sound detection.
