Specific Interests

My research questions focus on how humans are impacting natural populations. This includes population connectivity, population dynamics, and local adaptation. My past research investigated how anthropogenic barriers affect genetic structure in central Texas fishes. I am currently investigating how a frog population has locally adapted to metal contaminants. I am interested in these questions so that I can learn how to abate human impacts through conservation and restoration methods.
